Surprise CS: GO Pro Transfer from Astralis
Astralis showed a good performance in the ESL Pro League 12 and defeated NaVi-Stunner to win the tournament. Patrick "es3tag" Hensen participated in the tournament and played an important role in the victory of his team. The CS: GO pros provided an amazing 1-on-3 clutch in the final as if it was a piece of cake.
Astralis confirmed today that after the DreamHack Open Fall (which starts today and ends on October 25th) one of his CS: GO players, Patrick "es3tag" Hansen, will travel to North America to organize Cloud9.
Es3tag will be added to Cloud9's CS: GO list after the Dream Hack Open Fall
Es3tag joined Astralis as a free transfer and the player reached new heights in the organization. On 36 maps he received an impressive rating of 1.12. Since Cloud9 wants to complete its roster, this transfer is due before the last months of the 2020 season.
The move was announced hours after the news was announced by Danish TV2.dk. According to Anders Hørsholt, CEO of Astralis, Es3tag came to Astralis for free in July after its contract with Heroic expired and became "the biggest deal ever". However, Astralis and Cloud9 have agreed not to disclose the financial terms of the transfer.
After the transfer, he will move to Alex "ALEX" McMeekin, William "Mezzi" Meriiman. Ozgur "woxic" Eker and Ricky "floppy" Kemery join the Cloud9 list. The squad will most likely play Betway 9 to 5 and Flashpoint 2 of 5 in October and November respectively.
Astralis recently tweeted about the es3tag broadcast. The campaign will take effect after the DH autumn and the organisation will try to close the deal properly.
The upcoming Cloud9 player informs himself about his future plans
Patrick believes that things are moving fast for him, but he is proud of his Astralis journey.
"I am proud to represent Astralis, I love the fans and I never thought I would join another team earlier. I just won my first Grand Slam title and I really enjoy working with all the members in and around the team. In the last 6 months I have grown as a person and player and have a lot of responsibility for the organization. "
However, the player is confident about the future of Cloud9 in CS: GO and takes on the new challenges of his career. The sports director of the Astralis Group, Kasper Hvidt, also seems to be satisfied with the transfer.
"Ultimately, we are working on a full 2-player team with 10 players, just as we do in League of Legends. We will deal with that in a moment, but for now I just want to thank Patrick for his hard work and diligence and wish him well. "
Both Cloud9 and Astralis declined to disclose financial details of the agreement. The Counter-Strike: Global Offensive community loves it3tag for its excellent gameplay and down-to-earth characters. He is already a winner in the ESL Pro League and will try to add more titles to his name with his new team. CS: GO Pro is an asset to any company he joins and we wish him every success in his Cloud9 journey.
